Job summary
CITAM Seeks to recruit born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of Adventure Park safety officer. The person shall be responsible for safety and entertainment of guests & staff participating in ziplining activities, high ropes, sky bikes, scary bridges, Archery among others. The individual shall oversee all aspects of the adventure park, including safety gears, maintenance of applicable equipment, adventure park guidelines and client support with an intention of creating an experiential adventure.
The position reports to the Resort Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Managing safety and equipment by conducting inspections, ensuring proper working condition and reporting/follow up on repairs and replacements
- Ensuring all guests are properly fitted and have the relevant indemnities and safety gears.
- Engage guests, answer questions, address concerns and create a positive and memorable experience for the guests at the Adventure Park
- Managing guest services and experience by guiding guests with safety briefs and instructions, ensuring positive experiences and handling issues during the activities.
- Administrative and operational coordination of activities to include liaising with the reservation office for daily bookings, payments follow-up with accurate records and inventory management at the park.
- Maintenance of the adventure park facility and ensuring all losses/ damages are reported immediately.
- General cleanliness and, upkeep of the Adventure Park and organization of the adventure park equipment
- Prepare monthly reports on the state of the Adventure Park with recommendations on what needs to be done.
- Record all incidences/accidents within the Adventure Park
Requirements
- Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- A Diploma in Sports Science and Management, or its equivalent.
- Must be a KCSE graduate
- Safety and health training with a bias to work at heights and first aid.
- A Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Resort & adventure park, particularly in ziplining, high ropes and sky-bikes operations among others.
- Ability to climb stairs and work at heights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
