Technical Intern Opportunities

Mawingu is currently seeking motivated and technically skilled individuals to join their team as Technical Interns. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in field installations, customer support, and technical operations within a fast-growing connectivity company.

Locations: Mariakani, Ukunda, and Garissa – Kenya

Role Summary

The Technical Intern will support field installations, equipment recovery, and customer support activities, primarily for SME and enterprise clients. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting technical and sales teams in achieving service and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SME/Enterprise installations and repairs
  • Manage installation orders to meet revenue goals
  • Provide timely feedback and reports on installation progress
  • Liaise between clients, contractors, and design teams
  • Commission and test equipment post-installation
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Provide emergency technical support when required

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • At least 6 months of ISP field installation experience
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Customer-focused with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid license is an added advantage
