Job objective:
To optimize financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy within our operations, enabling data driven decisions, stronger cost efficiencies, and support for future expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with International
- Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax, in compliance with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Develop and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Kenya or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in financial management.
