ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
This role supports the Finance department by performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the processing of transactions, record-keeping, and reporting. The Accounts Assistant ensures accurate and timely financial operations, assists in reconciliation tasks, and maintains financial documentation to uphold the integrity of financial processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: CPA Part II or higher will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a busy finance environment.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Language: Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
- Basic Accounting Principles – Understanding of accounting processes, ledger management, and bookkeeping.
- Taxation – Knowledge of statutory returns and local financial regulations.
- Documentation – Good understanding of filing, invoice processing, and payment documentation.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to spot errors in financial documents and records.
- Numerical Proficiency – Comfortable working with numbers and performing calculations.
