Opportunities Meet Aspirations

Corporate Banking Track

You are supporting our bank to serve its Wholesale clients in loans and other structured debt solutions, including tailor made value chain financing solutions. These clients include large international corporates & traders (listed, family- and/or Private Equity owned) and regional leaders. These companies are crucial for the Food system and Energy Transition. You will have a broad range of responsibilities and you are not afraid to go off the beaten track to offer our clients the best solution. You will be working in a front office position and your responsibilities include Preparation of client pitch materials; Financial, quantitative analysis, and Research.  You have a drive and understanding of financial analysis & risk. You will spend time at Corporate Lending, Export Finance and Trade and Commodity Finance desks in Kenya covering Africa and also spend time with a Wholesale department abroad.

Impact and Innovation Track

You will create impact in emerging markets through digital and innovative solutions in the Food and Agri space that enhance access to finance and financial inclusion, fostering prosperity and economic growth. Together with partners, both large international players as well as local leaders and start-ups, we actively find scalable solutions that fit in the local contexts of the markets we are active in. You will help us to set up inclusive business ventures serving smallholder farmers, deliver advisory to financial institutions and large F&A companies and provide impact finance to players in the value chain that are excluded from commercial finance. You will work in the team of Rabo Foundation/Rural fund which covers the African markets and spend time at our headquarters in the Netherlands.

  • 40 hours per week, working from Rabobank’s rep office in Nairobi, Kenya
  • 19 people work at Rabobank’s Kenya office from various nationalities
  • Our key departments are based in Kenya: Rabobank Wholesale, Rabo Partnerships and Rabo Foundation conduct their mandated activities across 36 African countries.

  • Bachelor’s degree specifically in Finance, Economics or Actuarial fields, graduating year – 2022, 2023 and 2024.
  • Open to international work as part of the program can take place at one of our global offices.
  • You are a true team player with a positive mindset and good communication skills.
  • You are persistent and have solution-oriented attitude.
  • You encourage collaboration and you are adaptive to changing situations.
  • Clearly demonstrate and take ownership.
  • Strong interest and affinity with Rabobank’s mission.
  • You have a Kenyan work permit.
  • Added advantage if;
  • You have work experience, maximum 2 years.
  • Can speak French.
  • You have experience in Agri-Finance.
