Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to conduct preliminary review and packaging of SME and Corporate F&A credit files to ensure compliance and appraisal completeness prior to presentation to credit risk department.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of F&A credit proposals for presentation to EXCO
- Present F&A business cases to credit risk and on need basis in credit committees
- Take part in development of F&A risk policy • Develop and continuously review F&A business template
- Create, maintain and review F&A client profiling criteria • Develop F&A business review matrices for various value chains.
- Advise on F&A industry trends and subsector business matrix
- Continually review Food & Agriculture business portfolio and conduct stress testing based on prevailing and emerging industry risk factors.
- Develop and keep updated F&A environmental and social compliance policy.
- Training Branch staff and supporting in resolution of credit risk issues that may arise from time to time.
Qualifications
Academic Qualifications & Experience
- Holder Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in agriculture related courses such as Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Food sciences, Technology, agriculture finance or related field.
- AKIB/ACIB/CPA/ACCA/Credit Management or CFA would be an added advantage.
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in the Food & Agriculture, five (5) of which must be in technical Credit Analysis.
- Review and understand clients’ financial requirements and package appropriate credit proposals.
- Analyse financial statements presented by customers and summarize them into the F&A’s standard appraisal templates/systems.
- Analyse various industries and macro environmental factors as they relate to clients’ requests under review.
- Identify SME and Corporate capacity gaps in the bank staff, train, mentor and coach them for better performance.
- Continuously analyze the industry and macro-environmental factors and keep updated F&A analysis toolkit.
