We are looking for a dynamic CRM Specialist to join our East Africa team (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania). This role will work with various stakeholders to develop and execute data-driven CRM programs to support brand and e-commerce growth, using consumer data to drive personalization and premium experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- CRM Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive CRM strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
- Campaign Management: Design, execute, and optimize multi-channel CRM campaigns including email marketing.
- Automated Consumer Lifecycle Programs: Implement automated consumer lifecycle programs that drive sales conversion, repeat purchase, and advocacy.
- Partnership & Collaboration: Partner with internal brand teams as well as creative/content agencies to complete data-driven personalized campaigns across CRM channels.
- Data Compliance & Security: Gather consumer data in compliance with local regulations; work with legal/data teams for secure data capture supporting acquisition activities across markets.
- A/B Testing Strategies: Implement A/B testing strategies to drive higher consumer engagement/sales conversion.
- Tracking & Analysis: Champion tracking/tagging efforts ensuring all activities can be analyzed easily; share key findings across teams.
- Brand Data Activation Alignment: Align with brand teams on activating their data in media/other use cases; adjust privacy policies/preferences ensuring safe/secure data transfer.
- Team Upskilling: Upskill internal/agency teams on marketing automation tools ensuring maximum utilization of our CRM technologies.
- GDPR & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure each campaign aligns fully with GDPR/regulatory standards incorporating robust safeguards for consumer data
PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing CRM programs.
- Proven track record in developing successful data-driven marketing initiatives.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms like Hubspot, Zoho, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, Constant Contact etc.
- Strong understanding of database management principles.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights; strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills managing multiple projects simultaneously; detail-oriented with strong time management capabilities.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders
- Collaborative approach working effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of consumer data-related challenges in marketing context i.e., collection/consent/preference management/storage/sharing/data retention/breach/crisis management.
