Position Overview:

We’re looking for a front-end-leaning Fullstack Software Engineer with experience in PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js to help us scale our digital platforms. You’ll work closely with our product, operations, and sales teams to build intuitive, high-impact tools that connect farmers, buyers, and logistics partners. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills to a mission-driven product that directly improves food security and environmental sustainability. You will be directly reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, user-friendly web applications using Vue.js and Laravel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement responsive UI/UX designs to enhance user experience across devices.
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in full stack development with a focus on frontend technologies.
• Proficiency in Vue.js and Laravel.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with responsive web development and mobile-first design.
• Knowledge of Docker or other containerization tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of agricultural supply chains or experience in agri-tech is a plus.
• Kenyan Nationality is preferred
