Mission Description
- Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Financial COntroller, the candidate will be responsible for:-
- Posting of general accounting Journals
- Prepare accounting journals
- Ensure journals are properly approved before booking
- Post approved journals in the accounting system
- Match general ledgers
- Management of staff accounts
- Post staff account vouchers
- Regularly review outstanding staff balances and follow up for expense booking
- Prepare payroll deduction list where balance is outstanding for long
- Communicate outstanding balances with staff
- Matching staff account
- Follow up on staff final due for payment
- Review staff airtime and fuel consumption to ensure no overutilization
- Inter-company accounts management
- Analyze inter-company ledger balances
- Follow up on intercompany billings
- Prepare inter billing (418200) balance report
- Regular match off inter-billing accounts
- Follow up on disputes in inter-billing accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Review and resolve reconciling items in bank reconciliations
- Liaise with Treasury to close outstanding items in the bank reconciliations
General duties
- Prepare and submit payroll by products. Eg Nssf, Nhif, AHL,NITA and other payroll related deductions
- Prepare and submit with holding taxes
- Support customer matching
- Support end month closing process
- Relieve senior accountants when on leave
Profile
- Business Degree
- CPA (K), ACCA, CFA or equivalent
- Working knowledge of SAP
