The Installation and Maintenance lead reports to the Head of Home Broadband. He/she will be responsible for identifying manpower to execute agreed installation plan for FWA and FTTX new installation, fault and repair tickets, relocation and recovery tickets in the market assigned. He/ she will be responsible for the appointment, training and performance management of the installation supervisor and the installers assigned to defined clusters
Responsibilities
- Develop the ODU installation organization i.e. territory dimensioning in line with sales clusters with requisite governance through supervisors with optimal span of control.
- Design route plan within territory and conduct scheduled meets with assigned Installer supervisor to ensure ways of work governance metrics are in place
- Establish departmental process flows for installations, maintenance and enforce strict adherence
- Management of CWIP to mitigate any installation equipment being rendered obsolete in the warehouse
Ensure all installers have KYC kits and toolbox to complete customer on-boarding and physical installation work respectively - Work with requisite stake holders to ensure all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance is in place and readily available
- Track record of the routers leased to customers and ensure recovery for non-compliance customers is done as per the company guidelines.
- Liase and collaborate with Supply Chain Management team to validate requests, raise the purchase of ODUs and installation equipment based on agreed standards
- Provide support and ensure effective process management of service provider and installer vendors including job ticketing service level agreements, maintenance and removal of ODU and other equipment
- Ensure and coordinate various activities with Supply Chain Management for warehousing and dispatching of installation elements to specific locations
- In liaison with HR, plan for the training and certification of installers
- Evaluate and monitor the performance and quality standards of sub-contractors and take corrective active as applicable
Qualifications
- University degree in Telecom Engineering, Networks, Technical or electrical or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years’ experience in technical role Telecom/ DTH/ ISP
- Professional Qualification in Project Management Techniques
- Good understanding of the latest technology and processes used in related industries such as Satellite TV, Computer peripherals etc.
