Nyala Dairy Multipurpose Co-operative Society (M.P.C.S)

Nyala Dairy M.P.C.S invites qualified, experienced, and self-driven professionals to apply for the position of ICT Officer. This role is essential in ensuring smooth ICT operations, system efficiency, and user support within the organization.

A. Job Description

The ICT Officer will be responsible for:

  • Performing system backups and recovery tasks.
  • Conducting server builds and configurations.
  • Participating in the preparation of specifications for telecommunication equipment and systems.
  • Monitoring operating system software and servers.
  • Supporting the implementation of computer systems.
  • Providing user support, including training and troubleshooting.
  • Preparing technical, systems, and user documentation.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies, including database systems.
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Enhancing office IT systems through upgrades and advising on required improvements.
  • Assisting in the installation and support of all ICT hardware and software.
  • Performing any other ICT-related tasks as may be assigned.

B. Job Specifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated high level of professional competence and strong management abilities in computerized information systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a comparable ICT role.
  • Conversant with ERP systems, specifically Navision and Fine Xtreme.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
