INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Kenya Broadcasting Corporation is the pioneering force in Kenya’s Media landscape currently governed by GOE (Government Owned Entreprise) Act No. 25 of 2025. The Corporation is committed to excellence in broadcast services to its audience, customers and the public. The mandate of the Corporation is to inform, educate and entertain the public through Radio services, Television programmes services and Digital Media platforms.
The Corporation wishes to engage four (3) qualified and motivated interns to undertake internship programmes for a maximum (non-renewable) period of twelve (12) months in the following Departments as per the outlined basic requirements:-
Marketing Department – 1 Position
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Marketing option) OR Diploma in Marketing/Branding or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
- Good interpersonal skills, networking and negotiations skills
- Must be computer literate
Editorial Services Department (Translation Desk) – 1 Position
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree OR Diploma in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies
- KCSE C (plain) grade and above with minimum of C+ (Plus) in Kiswahili and English
- Demonstratable ability to translate from English to Kiswahili
- Good command of written and spoken Kiswahili and English language
Television Programmes Department (Design) – 1 Position
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design OR Diploma in Graphic Design/3D Graphic Design or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
- Good knowledge of 2D, 3D and 4D Software
- Must be computer literate
- Creativity and innovativeness
Technical Services Intern – 1 Position
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Light Current/Telecommunication)/Higher National Diploma OR Diploma in Telecommunication (Electrical & Electronic Engineering), or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
- Must be computer literate
Other Requirements:
- Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 34 years
- Have graduated from College/University not earlier than the year 2021
- Must attach copies of certificates, academic transcripts, updated curriculum vitae, national identity card or passport alongside the application letter
Upon successful selection and intake, the interns will be required to submit the following documents:-
- Personal accident insurance cover for the entire period of internship
- Medical insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or any other reputable medical insurance firm
- PIN certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
- NSSF card
- Two coloured passport photographs
- Bank account details
- Recommendation/reference letter from the Institution attended
- Certificate of Good Conduct
