Procurement Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the LPO and placing orders for goods and services to ensure that suppliers deliver within the agreed lead time
- Assist in the procurement process by collecting and organizing procurement requests from various departments.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to obtain quotes, product information, and delivery timelines for review by the Procurement Officer.
- Assist in maintaining procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier/vendor information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare purchase orders and other procurement documents accurately and in a timely manner,2under the guidance of the Procurement Officer.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in tracking stock movements, ensuring adequate stock levels are2maintained to meet operational needs.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and presentations for management review,2providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Support in resolving procurement-related issues, such as discrepancies in deliveries or invoices, by2liaising with suppliers/vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement Officer, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and maintaining departmental files and records.
- Any other duties as might be assigned from time to time.
Professional Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or any business-related field
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the procurement or supply chain field.
- Professional qualifications in Purchases and supplies are desirable, preferably from Chartered
- Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in application of procurement software will be an added advantage
