Security Officer
- The Security Officer will oversee related activities in safeguarding of the KRCS properties, staff at the KRCS headquarters, logistics center, Field Operations Teams, PNS operating in the country, and collaborate with the business entities security personnel to ensure a safe workplace.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- DRO and KRO Operations Officers
- Outsourced Security Personnel
- Security Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute security strategies in alignment with KRCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet operational priorities.
- Supervision of Security Personnel: In collaboration with the HORs oversee contracted security guards across various sites, including camps, hospitals, and program areas.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular security risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to address identified risks. Perform technical security duties in protection and risk reduction for KRCS staff, volunteers, field programs, PNS staff and KRCS business entities.
- Incident Response and Investigation: Respond to security and safety incidents, conduct internal investigations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Training and Awareness: Facilitate security awareness activities, including briefings and training sessions for staff and volunteers. Seek to develop a culture of security awareness and monitor staff compliance.
- Liaison and Coordination: Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and other non-governmental organizations on security matters. Represent KRCS in security network meetings and ensure information from these groups is disseminated to relevant staff. Build ongoing networks for sharing security information and coordination
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and regularly update security documents, and report on security situations to management. Ensure that all security incidents are reported in accordance with KRCS Security SOPs. Collect, analyse and disseminate security information appropriately. Maintain all required security documents, review and update them regularly and/or when needed. Conduct post incidence analysis reports as learning points to ensure that no repeat of similar incidents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Educational Background: Degree in Security Management or a related field.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in field security operations, preferably within humanitarian settings.
