Senior Associate, FP&A Analyst

At the Rainforest Alliance we are looking for a collaborative and results oriented Finance Analyst to join the Finance team. The analyst will support the financial management and advanced financial modelling of RA’s Departments. They will work with FP&A team assist to effectively monitor, analyze, forecast and report the financial performance of department programs and projects. This role contributes to the productivity and impact across the organization through financial data that will help prioritize and support decision making effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct research and generate reports, interpreting financial information to make informed decisions;
  • Assist with updating complex financial models to support accurate forecasting of revenue, expenses and liquidity
  • Support field teams to help them with the start-up or close-out of strategic initiatives, grants or projects, as well as help them more effectively address and resolve critical issues and risks, with a focus on finance-related challenges;
  • Ensure general compliance across country offices of finance processes, policies and procedures;
  • Act as the primary contact for coding reconciliations to ensure data accuracy, and recommend policy enhancements based on these reconciliations;
  • Send monthly reminders for timecard submissions to address any overdue timecards that impact monthly expense reporting and allocations;
  • Handle new employee coding process for timesheet tracking in NetSuite and ensure the data is matched in Adaptive for forecasting
  • Partner with Human Resources to validate the personnel database information versus the finance managed forecast database used for forecasting, ensuring that both systems are aligned
  • Review invoices pending approval in Concur for subgrantees for accuracy in coding and amount being requested
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education/Years of experience? Bachelors degree in a related field or a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated internal customer service experience;
  • Ability to work seamlessly across departments and cultures;
  • Ability to adapt use of technical and accounting language to the audience;
  • Strong understanding of non-profit fundraising and accounting principles and best practices preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience with handling NetSuite integrations with external systems, and familiarity with salesforce, workday and concur platforms preferred.
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong organization and attention to detail skills;
  • Experience with a global organization with multi-subsidiary and multiple currency operations (NetSuite Oneworld preferred).
