About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Financial Analyst with a strong focus on financial modelling to join our Corporate Finance team. This role will play a critical part in developing complex financial models to support fundraising across various investment types. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial modelling and experience in collaborating across teams to consolidate information.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, update, manage and consolidate financial models across BURN’s business activities.
- Develop valuation models, including DCF, NPV, and ROI analysis, to support investment case assessment.
- Automate financial modelling processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Collaborate with business units to refine key assumptions and inputs used in financial models.
- Create dynamic dashboards and visualization tools to track financial performance and model outcomes.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial modelling methodologies and assumptions across the organization.
- Support Fundraising teams in coordinating due diligence process such as maintaining data rooms and responding to investor queries, during fundraising process.
Skills and Experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel financial modelling skills; expert level skills (VBAs, automations, macros, etc.) a plus.
- Familiarity with investment instruments including debt, equity, and project finance.
- Experience in financial analysis and modelling, preferably within a corporate finance or investment banking environment.
- Experience with carbon credits, ESG requirements, and corporate legal documents.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation techniques.
