HOSPITAL ACCOUNTANT

Job Description: 

Reporting functionally to the Finance Manager and operationally to the Hospital Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Accurate capture, allocation and completeness of ALL financial transactions in the ERP at the branch on a daily basis
  • Management, control and accounting of petty cash
  • Daily computing and posting of doctor’s share (payments) and daily reconciliation of unit cash and cheque collection and posting banking transactions
  • Daily maintenance and monthly reconciliation of all ledgers
  • Ensuring finalization of outpatient and credit invoices and preparation and sign off on ALL journals for unit financial transactions, preparation of monthly reports and accounts.
  • This role will also support unit management team with financial analysis and guidance on budget utilization and cost management.

Qualifications: 

  • Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and or Accounting with professional qualification at diploma level either CPA-K or ACCA or equivalent and more than 3 years and up to 5 years relevant experience preferably in busy hospital environment is desirable.
