Webmaster 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a website developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating web development skills.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Experience with back-end technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js) and databases (e.g., MySQL).
  • Knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla).
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • A Christian in good and regular standing.

Preferred Skills and Qualities

  • Experience in an academic or educational environment.
  • Knowledge of web compliance standards and guidelines.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for basic design tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the university’s websites, ensuring user-friendliness and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand their web-related needs and deliver functional solutions.
  • Implement and manage CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) to support content management.
  • Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and SEO.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
  • Ensure compliance with web standards and accessibility guidelines.
  • Integrate web-based tools to support the university’s digital initiatives.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Perform any other ICT-related tasks as instructed by the ITS Manager
