Job Purpose:

The Marketing Lead for East Africa is responsible for developing and implementing a full-spectrum marketing programme, with the primary objective of generating high-quality sales prospects, including digital enquiries and technician leads. This role is crucial for hitting sales targets and involves a hands-on approach to digital marketing, product & innovation launches, brand campaigns, and managing marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Areas of Responsibility:

Marketing Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for growth and lead generation.
  • Analyze market trends for strategy refinement.
  • Track key marketing metrics and ROI.

Digital Marketing:

  • Implement and manage digital marketing strategies, including SEO and social media.
  • Optimize digital channels for lead conversion and manage budgets.

Product & Innovation Marketing:

  • Support new product launches and develop marketing materials.

Customer & Brand Management:

  • Conduct customer research and enhance brand reputation through multi-channel campaigns.
  • Coordinate internal communications and recognition programs.

Collateral Production:

  • Manage marketing materials, media events, and promotional items.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Oversee the Digital Marketing Executive and Product Marketing Graduate.
  • Align marketing activities with sales objectives and collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • 5 years in a marketing role, ideally B2B.
  • Proven lead-generation strategy development and execution.
  • Hands-on with digital marketing (SEO, social media, content, website management).
  • Experience with product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Some experience in managing or mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of marketing’s role in business growth.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
