Job Purpose:
To glorify God through the provision of excellent clinical care to all inpatient medical patients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of Internal Medicine conditions
- Develop individualized diagnostic tests and treatment plans
- To perform diagnostic & therapeutic procedures pertinent to the care of these patients
- Monitor and follow up on patient progress and treatment effectiveness
- To supervise and coordinate care with nurses, specialists and other healthcare staff
- Supervise, mentor and teach residents, interns and students
- Lead bedside teaching rounds and participate in case discussions and conferences
- Participate in curriculum development and medical education initiatives
Applicants Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
- Masters Degree in Internal Medicine (MMed Internal Medicine)
- Registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Possess a valid private practicing License
- Must be capable of functioning effectively both as a team player and a team leader
