Job Description

We are seeking a self-driven and results-oriented Loan Officer with at least 1 year of experience and a Diploma or Degree in a business-related field. The role involves sourcing clients, processing loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, setting repayment terms, and ensuring timely collections. You will also manage repeat clients, maintain accurate records, and uphold excellent customer service and professionalism. Strong communication skills and the ability to meet targets are essential. Candidates must be willing to work in Nairobi, Rift Valley, or Central Region.

Location: Rift valley Region, Mt. Kenya Region, Nairobi

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Loan Officer
  • Diploma or Degree in a business-related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet targets and build client relationships

  • Must be willing to work in Nairobi, Rift Valley, or Central Region

Responsibilities

  • Market and meet with clients interested in taking out a loan, providing them with the necessary information to start the loan application process
  • Achieve set disbursement, new customer acquisition, repeat loans, and collection targets
  • Collect the required KYC documentation and assess clients’ creditworthiness as per company policies
  • Calculate and analyze risk ratios of clients based on their credit scores and financial history
  • Collect leads, categorize them, and communicate decisions to both clients and management
  • Set up payment plans for clients, explaining daily, weekly, or monthly installments, interest rates, and other costs
  • Maintain accurate records of loan applications using the core banking system
  • Manage repeat and top-up clients by organizing follow-up meetings
  • Monitor loan repayment progress and relay any concerns to clients promptly
  • Ensure loan applications comply with company policies, SOPs, state laws, and regulations
  • Train customers on loan products and participate in any additional training the company may offer
  • Ensure all Brisk customers are treated with dignity and that all feedback, whether compliments or complaints, is properly recorded
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene by being neat and presentable when conducting business on behalf of Brisk
