Job objective

This key role offers significant ownership of the relationship between SQ Flora and Clients, importantly works with the Supply Chain Team and Growers while ensuring that the flowers ordered are received, and shipped out timely and clients are informed.

As the Supply Chain Assistant, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand forecasting, stem volume planning, and coordination with growers, logistics providers, and commercial teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Key duties include raising purchase orders, booking shipments, preparing shipment documents, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring correct products reach the right destinations. The role also involves preparing operational reports, effective communication with clients, and performing clerical or other assigned duties to support smooth supply chain operations.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the drive to increase forecast accuracy across the organization working with the commercial functions, growers, quality, and logistics providers.
  • Raise purchase orders to the growers in a timely manner as required, ensuring a complete, efficient, and well-timed delivery of goods as required.
  • Drive stem volume planning by consolidating all market demand plans, prioritizing market demand plans, obtaining supply plans from growers, and allocating demand across the grower base.
  • Work with logistics providers to ensure shipments are booked.
  • Communicate effectively with clients on agreed shipment plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely raising documents related to daily shipments.
  • Ensure correct products are sent to the correct destination.
  • Monitor the stock levels by working hand in hand with the teams on ground. 
  • Prepare reports concerning supply chain operations.
  • Perform several clerical duties for management and other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Your profile

  • Holder of a Degree /Diploma in business/ floriculture or related field.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Extremely self-motivated, proactive, confident, outgoing, creative, disciplined with attention to detail, highly honest and of high integrity.
  • Possess strong Interpersonal, Communication, Negotiation and Analytical skills as well as exemplary organizational and time management skills.
  • Structured and efficient in time management and work without close supervision.
  • Report writing skills.
