Role Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Bartender/Barista responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bar and coffee shop. The role involves preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the bar area and delivering exceptional customer service. The Bartender/Barista will uphold the highest professional standards in line with company policies to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- As a Bartender / Barista, prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and specialty beverages according to recipes and guest preferences by.
- Create and present innovative cocktails and signature drinks while crafting high-quality coffee beverages with consistency and precision.
- Provide prompt, friendly and professional service to all guests at the bar and coffee counter, ensuring an exceptional experience.
- Coordinate bar and coffee stock requisitions with the Bar Supervisor and manage inventory responsibly to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Participate in regular bar and café stock counts, assisting in identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Ensure the bar and coffee station mise-en-place is fully set before service with stocked beverages, garnishes, utensils and clean equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the bar, coffee station, glassware, machines and tools at all times.
- Operate the POS system accurately for both bar and coffee transactions, ensuring all orders are recorded and billed correctly. • Handle and account for company cash and payments responsibly in both bar and coffee operations.
- Proactively promote and up-sell drinks, coffee specials, food pairings and outlet promotions to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Attend to guest inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring issues are resolved professionally.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in compliance with local liquor licensing laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain, clean and troubleshoot coffee machines, grinders and bar equipment, arranging repairs or servicing as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with baristas, bartenders, waitstaff and cashiers to ensure seamless coordination and smooth operations. • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors to support both bar and coffee service excellence and meet business needs.
Skills and Competencies:
- Good knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, liqueurs and coffee beverages.
- Skilled in operating espresso machines, grinders and bar equipment.
- Understanding of coffee brewing, milk frothing and presentation techniques.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks consistent with business objectives.
- Good listening skills and customer focus.
- Computer literate with knowledge of POS and related systems.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Certificate in Food and Beverage Service from a recognized institution.
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a Bartender / Barista / Mixologist in a 4- or 5-star hotel preferably with an international hotel brand.
- Mixology certification preferred.
