Role Summary
The Scholarship Officer supports the implementation and management of Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s scholarship programs, ensuring that students receive the financial and mentorship support necessary for academic success.

 Responsibilities

  • Monitor student academic performance and well-being: Maintain regular communication with scholarship beneficiaries and their schools to track progress and address challenges affecting their education.
  • Facilitate scholarship disbursement and financial management: Ensure school fees and other financial aid are processed on time while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Organize mentorship and career development programs: Plan and implement mentorship sessions, career talks, and skills-building activities to support student growth beyond
  • Engage with donors and provide regular updates: Prepare reports and updates on student progress, program impact, and key achievements to maintain strong donor relationships.
  • Plan and execute scholarship-related events: Organize award ceremonies, mentorship days, and student networking forums that bring together students, alumni, and donors
  • Maintain accurate records of scholarship beneficiaries: Update and manage a database of student performance, financial support, and mentorship participation for reporting and
  • Foster relationships with schools, parents, and community stakeholders: Work closely with teachers, school administrators, and parents to provide necessary support for scholarship
  • Support alumni engagement and post-graduation tracking: Track and engage past scholarship recipients, creating connections to employment and further opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and contribute to program evaluation: Compile reports on scholarship activities, student progress, and program effectiveness while recommending improvements.Coordinate the selection and onboarding of scholarship beneficiaries: Ensure a transparent and inclusive selection process, working with community leaders and schools to identify deserving students.
  • Any other additional duties as maybe assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related
  • Specialized training in conservation education or community engagement is an

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in scholarship or education program

Skills:

  • Detail-oriented and highly
  • Strong interpersonal and mentorship
  • Excellent report-writing and data management
  • Ability to engage effectively with donors and external partners
