Opportunities Meet Aspirations

We are looking for an individual to fill the position of a Sales Training Lead. The Sales Training Lead will be the engine behind EcoSafi frontline sales excellence. This role designs and delivers dynamic, hands-on training that empowers our Sales Agents, Brand Ambassadors, Field Officers, and Call Center teams with the knowledge, techniques, and mindset to thrive in fast-moving, mission-driven environments. From onboarding to field coaching, the Sales Training Lead ensures every team member represents EcoSafi with clarity, confidence, and commitment to clean cooking transformation.

This is a chance to be part of a high growth company transforming how we cook for the better, while making a real and lasting positive impact on the environment and climate. You must enjoy and thrive working in a fast paced, evolving environment, be willing and able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, and have a proven track record of working with a diverse group of coworkers.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Deliver Training Programs

  • Develop tailored training content for each commercial team based on real-world field challenges and customer insights.
  • Structure impactful onboarding and refresher learning journeys aligned to product knowledge, technical understanding, and brand values.
  • Leverage in-person demos, mobile-based tools, simulations, and roleplays for high engagement.

Build Sales Capability

  • Coach teams on effective selling strategies: need-based selling, customer engagement, objection handling, and referral generation.
  • Conduct regular in-field coaching visits and sales shadowing to reinforce learning and provide hands-on support.
  • Work with the Customer Service and Technical teams to build aligned and holistic customer-facing training.

Drive Performance Through Learning

  • Identify skill gaps through sales data, field observations, and supervisor feedback.
  • Roll out structured learning interventions tied to performance goals and behavioral outcomes.
  • Track training effectiveness through KPIs, sales conversions, and feedback loops.

Foster a Learning Culture

  • Support new joiners with structured onboarding plans and buddy systems.
  • Run monthly “learning huddles,” peer-led clinics, and sales challenges to keep teams energized and aligned.
  • Be a culture ambassador—instilling confidence, discipline, and passion in every EcoSafi representative.

Develop Training Tools & Playbooks

  • Standardize training materials across markets and ensure content stays up to date with product, pricing, and process changes.
  • Document best practices, case studies, and field success stories to scale what works.
  • Champion learning systems that are low-tech but high-impact, including printed guides and WhatsApp-based prompts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Communication, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years in sales training, coaching, or field sales development (experience in clean energy, FMCG, or informal markets preferred).
  • Proven ability to engage frontline staff with energy, clarity, and results orientation.

Experience & Skills

  • Comfortable delivering training in urban, peri-urban, and rural grassroots contexts.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili (additional local languages are an advantage).
  • Practical knowledge of adult learning principles and using low-cost, field-friendly training tools.
  • Strong facilitation, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills.
