Pharmaceutical Technologists

Job Summary

Equity Afia is seeking qualified and experienced Pharmaceutical Technologists to join their healthcare team in Machakos County. The successful candidates will be responsible for dispensing medication, ensuring proper pharmaceutical care, and supporting the hospital’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
• At least one (1) year post-internship working experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Registered and with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially in Health Management Information Systems (HMIS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Qualifications (for Multi-disciplinary Applicants)

Candidates with experience in laboratory operations may also possess:

• Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience
• Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
• Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Proficiency in Health Management Information Systems (HMIS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
