Role Purpose Statement
Under the general direction and guidance of the Security Manager, the Security Agent is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for passengers, staff, and assets. The role involves implementing and enforcing security protocols, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents, ensuring compliance with aviation security regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security inspections and surveillance to detect and prevent potential security threats at the airport and other operational areas.
- Manage access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel enter sensitive areas, and collaborate with other airport personnel and departments to enhance overall security measures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, providing first-line defence and coordinating with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Perform passenger and baggage screenings in line with established procedures, ensuring the safety and security of all flights.
- Participate in security briefings and training sessions to stay updated on the latest security procedures and emerging threats.
- Maintain detailed records of security-related incidents and actions taken, ensuring accurate reporting for accountability and documentation.
- Identify and report any irregularities or security breaches, contributing to the continuous improvement of security protocols.
- Provide guidance to passengers on security procedures to enhance understanding and compliance, and escort aircraft and passengers as required to ensure overall safety.
- Comply with National and International Civil Aviation Security regulations for the safe processing and handling of firearms and ammunition onboard Jambojet aircraft.
- Maintain the safety and integrity of aircraft and related equipment during transit or crew change periods, while overseeing financial security aspects to support operational integrity.

- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of emergency procedures, crisis management, and a sound understanding of the Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, and Penal Code.

Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a security role, preferably within aviation or a similarly regulated environment.
- Certifications: Relevant security certifications and formal training in aviation security are required.
