Serena Hotels is seeking a skilled and driven Information Security Officer to lead the company’s IT security strategy and safeguard regional operations across Africa.
About the Role
As the Information Security Officer, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining Serena Hotels’ information security policies and procedures. You’ll ensure that all systems and networks across the region operate securely, protecting the organization from cyber threats and maintaining compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement information security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and assess security systems to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Lead incident response and investigation of security breaches.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement best practices for data protection and network security.
- Provide training and awareness to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Professional certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA, CEH) is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in developing and managing information security programs.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
