Job Summary
We are looking for highly driven and well-networked individuals to join our team as Retainer-Based Insurance Sales Agents in our shimin product line. The ideal candidates will be responsible for selling all lines of insurance business—including general, medical and life while meeting and exceeding set monthly targets.
This is a performance-based role with a monthly retainer, commission, and tiered incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and close insurance business across general and life insurance lines.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of clients across personal and corporate sectors.
- Meet and surpass monthly premium targets.
- Educate clients on insurance products, policy terms, and benefits.
- Maintain long-term relationships with clients through consistent follow-ups and service.
- Submit accurate reports on leads, conversions, and client feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification paths:
Option 1:
- KCSE mean grade of D+ or higher, and
- At least 3 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry in Kenya (e.g., microfinance, banking, SACCOs, mobile lending, credit institutions).
Option 2:
- University Degree (any discipline), and
- At least 1 year of proven experience in bancassurance, (Microfinance, banking, SACCOs, mobile lending, credit institutions), or Insurance.
Ideal Candidate Traits
- Strong personal and professional network in Kenya.
- Goal-oriented and self-driven with a track record of meeting sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with IRA regulations and insurance products is a plus.
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in insurance or willingness to obtain it.
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly Retainer: KSh 15,000
- Commissions: 10% of total earned commissions on sales
