Senior Commercial Manager – Content & Digital Services
Job Description
Reporting to the Tribe Lead – Digital Services, the Senior Commercial Manager will drive the overall commercial strategy for Digital Services and content. The role includes developing and executing strategies to grow the customer base, increase revenue, and enhance user retention. The holder will lead cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, and product, leveraging data insights to identify and test new growth opportunities throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement content growth strategies and lead cross-functional teams to achieve set goals.
Commercial Strategy Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies for sustainable content business growth.
- Deploy appropriate commercial models and pricing strategies for diverse customer segments.
Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Oversee sales, marketing, and business development functions.
- Lead go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and ensure strong brand positioning.
Partner Relationship Management
- Build, manage, and maintain strategic, profitable relationships with key partners.
Customer Acquisition & Retention
- Drive user acquisition through multiple marketing channels.
- Improve user retention and customer lifetime value by understanding customer behaviours and needs.
Data Analysis & Optimization
- Leverage analytics tools to assess user behaviour and key performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for optimization across digital and social platforms.
Experimentation & Innovation
- Foster a culture of experimentation to test growth tactics, creative solutions, and new market approaches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, marketing, sales, and other teams to align growth initiatives with business objectives.
Budget & Revenue Management
- Manage growth marketing budgets, oversee commercial spending, and allocate resources based on ROI.
- Set financial targets, develop pricing strategies, and ensure profitable revenue growth.
Performance Monitoring
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs to the executive team and Board of Directors.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with analytics tools, CRM platforms, and growth-related software.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor high-performing commercial teams.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven culture.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of senior commercial or sales leadership experience in the Content Business.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth.
- Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience.
- Experience in budget preparation and forecasting within a large organisation.
- Strong financial modelling skills (Excel preferred).
