Job Title: Branch Manager
Reporting Line: Head, Retail Banking
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Growth
- Drive market dominance and expand market share within the branch locality.
- Ensure the Business Office achieves and surpasses its overall budget.
- Stay updated on business environment trends to identify and maximize opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong networks with potential clients across all relevant customer categories.
2. Profitability Management
- Take full ownership of the branch’s P&L by managing human and material resources for sustainable profitability.
- Lead and motivate business segments within the branch to ensure maximum market coverage.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase share of wallet across all customer categories within the locality.
3. Branch Operations & Leadership
- Oversee all Business Office functions including market-facing activities and customer service.
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service across all touchpoints.
- Manage branch brand standards, ambience, and overall service environment.
- Ensure full compliance with all Bank and Regulatory policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provide leadership by directing, mentoring, and coaching the branch team to foster a strong learning and performance-driven culture.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achieve the approved Profit Before Tax (PBT) target for the branch.
Job Requirements
- First degree in any field from a recognized university.
- A second degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Excellent banking knowledge with at least 5 years primary banking experience in sales or operations and minimum 2 years secondary experience in retail/commercial banking or branch operations with a leading industry player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
