Duties and responsibilities
- Support senior IT staff with installation, configuration and maintenance of computers and operating systems
- Assist in resolving basic problems such as printing, software access and network connectivity.
- Help set up and dismantle IT equipment for classes and practical sessions, ensuring labs are operational.
- Assist in re-imaging lab machines and deploying software updates under supervision.
- Maintain lab readiness through cable management, tidiness, and checks on peripheral equipment.
- Work with the Lab Technician to carry out inventory checks and update the asset register accurately.
- Use the helpdesk ticketing system, document issues, assist in preparing user guides, and participate in departmental meetings and training.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Qualification and experience
- A Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology from a recognised/accredited university, having graduated within the last year.
- Being registered for or having completed the Certified Human Resource Professional �
- Good communication and interpersonal skills�
- Hands-on individual, with personal drive and the ability to respond to issues efficiently�
- Good IT skills
