Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Cloud Architect. You will operate as a trusted strategic advisor, partnering directly with our customers to architect, design, and guide the implementation of bespoke cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You will bridge the gap between complex business goals and technical realities, collaborating with C-level stakeholders and internal sales teams to define the vision for powerful, secure, and cost-optimized cloud environments. You will take ownership of the technical roadmap—from high-level design and proof-of-concept to overseeing final delivery. If you thrive on solving high-stakes architectural challenges and defining the standards for cloud excellence, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Solution Architecture: Lead technical workshops and discovery sessions to translate client business requirements into comprehensive, high-availability, and scalable architecture designs on GCP.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Strategy: Define the standards and modular patterns for infrastructure deployment. While you will remain hands-on with Terraform, your focus is on creating reusable, governance-compliant blueprints for engineering teams to utilize.
- DevOps & Automation Design: Architect robust CI/CD strategies (using GitHub Actions/Cloud Build) that ensure rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery. You will set the philosophy for automation and deployment workflows.
- Modernization & Serverless Architecture: Design microservices and event-driven architectures, selecting the right compute paradigms (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE) to maximize performance and minimize operational overhead.
- Application & API Design: Oversee the architectural design of backend services and APIs. You will use Python to build Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) and reference architectures, establishing best practices for scalability and documentation.
- Technical Leadership & Governance: Act as the final point of escalation for complex technical hurdles. Proactively conduct architecture reviews to optimize client environments for cost, reliability, and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Embed security into the design phase.Architect comprehensive IAM hierarchies, network security perimeters, and compliance frameworks to meet industry standards.
