Project Coordinator
Job Purpose Statement
Responsible for managing day-to-day administrative activities across various projects within the Communications Department. The role involves maintaining project documentation, effective tracking of project progress for timely delivery, creating and updating status reports, preparing project reports, stakeholder communication, and issue identification and escalation. The role holder will also be assigned projects for end-to-end execution.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Organization
- Follow up on communication work plans for various projects
- Maintain project timelines and schedules, ensuring projects stay within budget and meet quality standards
- Maintain a repository and archiving of communication outputs
Coordination and Communication
- Serve as a liaison between different teams and stakeholders to ensure clear communication
- Act as a central point of contact for project-related information
Progress and Documentation Management
- Track project progress against schedules and identify potential blockers
- Maintain and update project documentation, including plans, status reports, and meeting action points
- Develop relevant project reports
Administrative Support
- Handle daily administrative tasks to ensure projects run smoothly
- Perform any other duties assigned to support project success
Resource and Risk Management
- Monitor resources to ensure teams have what they need to complete tasks
- Assist with risk management by identifying potential issues and documenting them for escalation
Quality Assurance
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and expectations
This role blends communication deliverables, administration, and end-to-end project execution.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a communication-related field, marketing, or project management
- Strong understanding of communication principles and practices gained through experience
- Over four (4) years’ experience in project coordination within communications in a corporate setup

- Strong ability to manage time efficiently and meet timelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and complex schedules
- Strong report writing, presentation development, and presentation skills
- Data and report analysis, interpretation, and presentation skills
