Job Purpose

The role holder serves as the first point of contact for domestic debt and other customers, handling queries, complaints, feedback, and service requests. The position is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service and ensure a positive customer experience when engaging with internal and external clients.
  • Open and operate the Customer Care Service Desk daily, actively serving walk-in customers at the Banking Hall between 8:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Manage client relations related to Government Securities (GS).
  • Serve customers daily on behalf of the Department and the Bank on all Government Securities matters.
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of the Department’s operations, functions, and Government Securities products to provide accurate, efficient, and comprehensive service at the Customer Service Desk.
  • Address queries from the public, potential investors, and existing investors relating to Government Securities.
  • Implement Know Your Customer (KYC) principles to support and streamline divisional operations.
  • Apply approved controls and due diligence measures to minimize the risk of fraudulent documentation.
  • Receive, record, and input all incoming customer documents—including transactions, requests, applications, and authorizations—into the DhowCSD system, and capture outgoing documents accordingly.
  • Upload approved customer information using relevant systems and software for display at the Banking Hall.
  • Monitor, attend to, and prepare reports on all emails received through the Department’s official email address.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Information Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Work Experience

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a related field.
