Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for processing transfers of Government Securities within the Central Securities Depository (CSD) and handling secondary market trade transactions in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process and review broker registration and deregistration requests.
  • Process and review sale orders for bonds traded through the Automated Trading System (ATS).
  • Register master repurchase agreements for HRT participants.
  • Process and review over-the-counter (OTC) trading of Treasury Bills.
  • Conduct surveillance of OTC trading of Treasury Bills.
  • Analyze secondary market trades and prepare monthly analytical reports.
  • Process gratis transfer trades.
  • Create and cancel lien transactions as required.
  • Confirm settlement of securities and cash through RTGS and the T-24 system.
  • Ensure accurate generation of accounting entries within the T-24 system.
  • Receive, verify, and process investor instructions in the DhowCSD system.
  • Respond to customer queries related to secondary trading activities.
  • Conduct investor education activities on Government Securities.
  • Generate DhowCSD statements and lien certificates.
  • Generate transaction and activity reports as required.
  • Participate in secondary market development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and review of secondary market guidelines in collaboration with market stakeholders.
  • Securely file all processed forms and documents related to secondary trading.

  • Demonstrate responsiveness and teamwork in line with the Bank’s values.
  • Adhere strictly to established work procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Work Experience

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience.
