At Cytravel Africa you will support the company’s tours and travel operations while gaining hands-on experience in tourism leads generation, digital marketing and SEO development. The role is designed to provide direct support to drive growth of the business through practical exposure to Kenya’s travel industry, combining training on how to generate direct and online leads and leads conversion, maintain customer engagement and maintaining relationships for referral business, itinerary generation, digital content creation, and online visibility strategies. As an intern you will undergo a three months training, and if successful based on your performance you will have a chance of an employment offer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and updating tour itineraries and travel packages
  • Help coordinate logistics with guides, hotels, transport providers, and partners
  • Support email marketing initiatives and newsletter content
  • Conduct destination research to support package development and pricing
  • Assist in keyword research related to tours, safaris, and travel in Kenya
  • Optimize website content (blogs, tour pages, landing pages) for SEO
  • Support blog writing focused on destinations, travel tips, and experiences
  • Help improve website structure, metadata, and content visibility
  • Conduct market and competitor research within the tourism industry
  • Support day-to-day office and field activities as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Tours and Travel, Communications, PR or related field
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sufficient computing skills (Ms. Office suite).
  • Photography, Video editing and designing skills will be an added advantage.
  • Must be willing to work long and odd hours including Sundays.
