Role Outline

To ensure efficient completion of tasks in timeous and professional manner, according to operational procedures and standards. Ensuring customer service is of the highest standards and that all office assistance responsibilities are closed promptly.  To always maintain the integrity of the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Honesty – pride in job and an eye for detail.
  • Operate with integrity & ethical values.
  • Clear understanding of the departmental requirements.
  • Vehicle and equipment care to ensure all are in good running order.
  • Maintain a professional customer service to internal and external customers.                                 
  • Ensure correct use of vehicle and other company equipment, and to timeously report any defects.  
  • Follow standard operating procedures as well as Health, Safety & Risk procedures.          
  • To ensure that all documentations are accounted for and completed as per instructions.
  • Execute a daily vehicle inspection, using a checklist, when leaving and returning from the route. 
  • Ensure vehicle is driven safely and courteously.
  • Conduct all communication in a polite, professional manner which promotes respect, goodwill and trust
  • Keep vehicles and work areas tidy, safe, and neat always.                                                                              
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as per Adm guidelines.  
  • Operate within the law with regard to hours of work & speed limits.                                                              
  • Refuel, check oil & water levels & carry out vehicle safety checks daily.             
  • Ensure that the vehicle is 100% roadworthy and in good running order.                  
  • Maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educated to O-level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the driving industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with the Nairobi routes and their environs.
  • A deep understanding of supply chain needs, particularly within a logistics environment.
