Position: Enterprise Data Architect

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Enterprise Data Architect within Jubilee Life
Insurance Limited. The position holder will report to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and will
be based at our Main Office.

Role Purpose

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for setting the strategy for the organization’s data architecture and providing technical architecture direction for delivery of the target state, including platforms that enable advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) use cases. The person appointed will be an integral member of the Enterprise Architecture Team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports current and future business needs. They will apply their knowledge of good architecture practice, modern data platforms, and AI-enabling technologies to capture current and target state architecture.

Academic Qualifications and Relevant Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or related field (required).
• TOGAF Certification or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise data architecture and data strategies.
• Proven experience with enterprise data warehousing, master data management, and data integration platforms.
• Strong experience with cloud-based and on-premise data environments.
• Experience with data transformation and ETL/ELT technologies such as AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Azure Data Factory, Data Lakes, and analytics platforms.
• Experience working with data governance and data quality tools such as Informatica, Data Integrator, Enterprise Data Quality, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of data modelling including normalization, OLAP/OLTP principles, and entity relationship modelling.
• Experience mapping enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data lineage and data governance frameworks.
•  Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an added advantage.
