British American Tobacco is one of the world’s most international businesses, with brands sold in over 175 markets. We are looking for a driven, ambitious graduate to join our Trade Marketing & Distribution team in Kenya. This internship offers real, hands-on exposure to commercial operations in a fast-moving consumer goods environment — working alongside experienced trade teams to shape how our brands reach the market.

What will you do:

  • Support the implementation of the Trade Marketing & Distribution plan to achieve volume, value share, and numeric and weighted distribution targets for our Drive Brands. 
  • Assist in achieving trade coverage, visit frequency, and outlet visit plans to maximise route effectiveness and efficiency across assigned territories. 
  • Help build and sustain close working relationships with distributors, trade partners, and retailers to earn high levels of trade support, loyalty, and market insight. 
  • Support delivery of territory volume and distribution objectives by trade channel and outlet type, ensuring brand availability is maximised in line with market strategy. 
  • Contribute to optimal stock management — monitoring levels, product quality and freshness, and reporting on supply chain issues to minimise Out of Stock occurrences. 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Commerce or a related field, awarded within the last 1 year. You are a recent graduate ready to launch your career.

Valid Driving Licence

  • Willing to be mobile, need to be willing to complete the internship in any part of Kenya where the requirement lies
