Assistant Financial Accountant
Sanlam Allianz Investments Ltd (SAIL) is a leading fund manager in the region, with a strong track record in service delivery and performance.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Financial Accountant in our Kenya office.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Fund Accounting, the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations for assigned funds.
- Review fund income and expenses to ensure accurate allocation and distribution to investors.
- Accurate calculation and payment of agents’ commission.
- Accurate calculation, filing and payment of withholding tax by required timeframe.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Assisting with regulatory reporting, including completion of monthly and quarterly CMA returns.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
- Adhere to Company policies including internal and external polices, risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Any other responsibilities as documented in your performance objectives and as may be assigned and communicated from time to time.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting role
- Experience in fund accounting is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of IFRS, tax & CMA regulations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with any ERP system.
