About the Role
Moringa School is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support the execution of content strategies across its digital platforms. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing.
You will work closely with the Digital Marketing team to enhance brand visibility, drive audience engagement, and support ongoing campaigns through high-quality content and community interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X
- Maintain and update weekly and monthly content calendars to ensure consistent posting
- Draft engaging, platform-specific captions aligned with brand voice and campaign goals
- Repurpose long-form content (blogs, webinars, events) into social-ready formats
- Assist in developing campaign visuals, captions, and creative assets in line with brand guidelines
- Support video content production, including filming and editing short-form videos and reels
- Curate and source user-generated content, testimonials, and community posts for reposting
- Research and maintain relevant hashtag strategies for different campaigns and platforms
- Provide live social media coverage during events, bootcamps, and career fairs
- Assist in creating assets for paid social campaigns
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and escalate issues when necessary
- Track and compile basic performance metrics into reports and presentation decks
- Analyze competitor content to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps
- Maintain an organized library of social media assets including images, videos, and copy
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas
- Strong organizational and time management skills
