Job Description & Key Responsibilities
- BSP Management: Reconcile IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) statements, managing airline ticket sales, refunds, and agency commission adjustments.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliations of bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor payments (hotels, tour operators).
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports tailored for the travel industry.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage client deposits, invoicing, and timely payment to travel service providers. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate VAT calculation on travel services, withholding tax, and other statutory deductions.
- System Usage: Utilize accounting software and GDS systems to track travel bookings and revenue.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant in the travel/tours industry. Technical Knowledge: Mandatory understanding of IATA BSP procedures and travel accounting practices.
- Education: CPA (K) or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
