PathCare Medical Laboratory Kenya is seeking to recruit a qualified and results-driven professional for the following position:
Accounts Receivables Officer – Credit Collection
- Location: Nairobi, Kenya
- Department: Finance
- Reports To: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Job Purpose:
To ensure timely and accurate billing, efficient collection of receivables, and effective credit control to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize bad debts. The role supports financial integrity through AR reconciliations, DSO tracking, and escalation of delinquent accounts where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in line with contractual terms
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables through consistent follow-up
- Maintain up-to-date customer account records and reconcile payments received
- Conduct regular debt follow-ups and implement effective credit control measures
- Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and highlight overdue accounts to management
- Escalate high-risk or long-outstanding debts where necessary
- Prepare periodic AR reports and reconciliations to support month-end closing and financial analysis
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- KCSE Mean Grade B+
- CPA / ACCA qualification (or in progress) preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or credit control
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
