Job Purpose
The Clinical Officer is responsible for providing patient care by diagnosing and treating patients, offering preventive care, managing common medical and surgical conditions, participating in public health initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Registered with the Clinical Officers Council and must possess a valid practicing license
- At least one (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital
- Over one (1) year working experience, ideally in a busy health facility
- Knowledge of non-communicable diseases (NCD) management is key
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
