Job Summary:
The role-holder provides comprehensive Oral Care to patients of all ages, including conducting examinations, preventive treatments, and basic dental procedures.in line with hospital policies and prevailing regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations for patients of all ages.
- Provide a range of preventive and basic dental treatments, such as cleanings, fluoride applications and minor fillings.
- Take X-rays as needed to diagnose dental problems.
- Refer patients to specialists for more complex dental procedures.
- Participate in community outreach programs, including health education sessions in schools, churches, and community centres.
- Raise awareness about the importance of oral health and promote healthy oral hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with local health authorities and community leaders to develop and implement oral health initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned time to time
Education/Qualification
- Diploma in community oral health or related field from a recognized institution
- Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Oral Health Officer or related field

What is a Statement of Faith?
A Statement of Faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with Tenwek Hospital. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
