Country Marketing Manager – Kenya | M-KOPA
M-KOPA is seeking a Country Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and help drive digital and financial inclusion across Africa.
About the Role
You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive growth, build brand equity, and deliver measurable business results. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, overseeing brand-building initiatives, trade marketing campaigns, and retail activations. You’ll collaborate closely with the Global Marketing team and local commercial teams to bring impactful campaigns to life.
This is an on-site role based in Kenya, reporting to the Head of Business Management.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Design and deliver impactful BTL activations and trade marketing programs.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure optimal ROI across media and channels.
- Build strong partnerships with local stakeholders and business teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals.
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics using data-driven insights.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in FMCG, telecom, or mobile device industries.
- Proven expertise in trade marketing, including dealer programs, in-store promotions, and field activations.
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s retail and distribution landscape.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and analytics tools such as Supermetrics or Looker Studio.
- 2–3 years of experience leading teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Field-oriented mindset with willingness to spend 30–40% of your time in market.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and results orientation.
