Position: Dermatology Clinical Officer
Reporting to: Head of Outpatient Services
Purpose
To glorify God by providing visionary leadership and operational excellence in dermatology services, ensuring compassionate, efficient, and high-quality patient care for skin, hair, nail, and related conditions in alignment with regulatory standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage patient schedules in the dermatology clinic to maximize provider time, patient flow, and revenue generation
- Ensure accurate input of diagnoses, treatments, procedures, payments, and patient data into relevant databases, keeping patient files up to date at all times
- Coordinate the provision of comprehensive dermatological care, including diagnosis and management of common and complex skin conditions
- Coordinate patient flow for dermatology outpatient services to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to dermatological medical services
- Ensure timely documentation of patient encounters and maintain comprehensive medical notes for each case
- Uphold the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety, adhering to established protocols, ethical guidelines, and evidence-based practices in dermatology
- Engage in clinical research and evidence-based practice by staying updated with advancements in dermatology
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Attributes
- Higher National Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology (or equivalent advanced/postgraduate qualification) from a recognized institution
- Foundational Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Current registration and valid practicing license from the (COC) of Kenya
- Relevant accreditation/registration in dermatology specialization
