P.C.E.A Tumutumu Hospital, a faith-based level five referral hospital located in Nyeri County, 5km from Karatina town, wishes to fill the following vacancies:

1. Clinical Officer – Ophthalmology/Cataract Surgery

No. Required: 1

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine – Ophthalmology/Cataract Surgery
• Valid registration and practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar ophthalmology or optometry role
• Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient-care abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• A recommendation letter from a religious leader, who should also be listed as one of the referees
• Willingness to take extra duties

2. Ophthalmic Nurse Assistant

No. Required: 1

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution
• Valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
• Post-basic training in Ophthalmic Nursing/Ophthalmic Clinical Skills from a recognized training institution
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Experience in ophthalmology or eye-clinic nursing
• Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient-care abilities
• A recommendation letter from a religious leader, who should also be listed as one of the referees
• Willingness to take extra duties

3. Administrative Assistant

No. Required: 1

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, time-management, and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines under minimal supervision
• At least 1–3 years of experience in a similar administrative or secretarial role
• A recommendation letter from a religious leader, who should also be listed as one of the referees
