1. PR and Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The job holder will actualize the PR, Communications and Marketing vision for AA Kenya and focus on aligning all aspects of public relations, brand visibility and reputation management with the strategic direction of AA Kenya.

The position demands leadership, program planning, fiscal accountability, communications and marketing expertise, and experience with metrics, reporting and performance management. You will lead initiatives and support a collaborative culture within AA Kenya and its stakeholders.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the position holder will provide high-quality strategic advice and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the communications and strategic marketing direction for AA Kenya.

Minimum Job Requirements

For appointment to this position, one must possess:

2. Go Backend Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Go (Golang) Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable microservices that power our customer-facing and internal systems.

The job holder will be working in a modern, cloud-native environment on a microservices architecture built primarily in Go, running on Kubernetes (AWS/EKS or GCP).

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices in Go.
2. Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code (we love idiomatic Go!).
3. Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and other backend teams.
4. Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
5. Optimize performance, latency, and cost of services.
6. Integrate with third-party APIs (payments, SMS, mapping, insurance providers, etc.).
7. Help evolve our CI/CD pipelines and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry).

Minimum Job Requirements

For appointment to this position, one must possess:

• 3 plus years of backend development experience.
• 2 plus years of professional experience with Go in production systems (please share your GitHub or public projects if possible).
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and caching (Redis).
• Comfortable with Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.
• Good knowledge of software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, documentation).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).
• Contributions to open source Go projects or a strong personal GitHub profile.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP services.

3. Full Stack Developer – Intern

Job Summary

The position holder will be responsible for gathering requirements around functionality and translating those requirements into robust and effective web and mobile solutions, designing mobile user interfaces, developing and maintaining mobile applications, and enhancing web/mobile user experience.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
2. Developing application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality.
3. Working along with users to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps/web.
4. Working with users to build the interface with focus on usability features.
5. Create compelling mobile device specific user interfaces and experiences.
6. Optimizing performance for the apps/web.
7. Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile/web technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Business IT, Software Engineering or its equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and mobile usability design principles.

4. Customer Experience Advocates (Nairobi and Maua Branches)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the position holder will manage customer relations and interactions through the various channels to ensure customer satisfaction.

Minimum Job Requirements

For appointment to this position, one must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-Related Field or its equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service.
• Good customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Business Development acumen.

5. Business Development Officers (Keroka, Bondo, Ruaka, Bungoma, Nairobi Branches)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this position will be responsible for coordinating all branch activities including Business Development, Key Account Management, People Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, and general branch Administration.

Minimum Job Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business management or its equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with at least two (2) in a leadership role.

6. Driving School Instructors (Nairobi, Bungoma, Kiambu, Bondo)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will be responsible for Driving Instruction and Training, Road Safety and Compliance, Customer Experience and Professional Conduct, Vehicle Management, amongst other duties.

Minimum Job Requirements

For appointment to this position, one must have:

• KCSE Certificate.
• A valid Driving License.
• NTSA Accredited Instructor Training Certificate and Instructor License.
• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Technical Training, Automotive Related Course, Education or a related field is an added advantage.
• A minimum of one year experience in Technical Training, Driver Instructing or Teaching.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
